A Gift Of Faith
A deep capacity to love, I've found,
Not only for others, but on my own ground.
Through ups and downs, my share I've known;
For affection, my search was widely sown.
No balm could heal the wounds within,
Until I knew, in life, I truly could win.
As a child, troubles filled my sight,
And wrongs I seemed to always write.
Growing up, I witnessed immense pain,
Yet my loving heart remained unstained.
For this, I knew, was a gift,
In a world torn by hate, a deep rift.
Through struggles, a will to live I found,
My faith, a seed now rooted deep in fertile ground.
For a loving heart, a truer path I see,
A grace that guides me, setting my spirit free.
We weren't meant to live in what is called "sin"—
That false word meant to keep us from growing within.
I opened my heart and embraced my faith;
In this world, I began to see
A joy that exists with natural grace.
This truth I've witnessed time and again,
By opening my heart, allowing it to be sustained.
